Fire protection collars
When fire happens and plastic pipes are burning, openings appear in fire resistant walls, therefore fire resistant collars are fastened around the pipes. Knauf fire protection collars change form through the heat and intumescent material in the fire collar expands, closing off the pipe and thus preventing fire from spreading.
Fire collars are suitable for installation in various types of walls and ceilings.
Depending on situation the fire collars in vertical separating elements (walls) have to be installed on one or both sides of the wall. The fire stop collars in horizontal separating elements (ceilings) have to be installed at the bottom side of the floor.

30-mm stainless steel fire protection collar for plastic pipes made of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and multi-layers – with or without insulation in the concrete and the dry construction. Suitable for pipe diameters of 40 to 140 mm. Provides fire safety for up to 120 minutes.
KNAUF FIRECOLLAR RORCOL V60
60-mm stainless steel fire protection collar for plastic pipes made of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and multi-layers – with or without insulation in the concrete, aerated concrete and gypsum. Suitable for pipe diameters of 56 to 250 mm and for Omega installations in tube bends and inclined tubes. Provides fire safety for up to 120 minutes.
KNAUF FIRECOLLAR RORCOL AV60
60-mm stainless steel fire protection collar for multi-layer composite piping, cable, aluminium, copper and steel piping and for electric wires – with or without insulation in the concrete, aerated concrete and gypsum. Suitable for pipe diameters of 40 to 160 mm. Provides fire safety for up to 90 minutes.
